ABOUT ME

I am an experienced and fully qualified counsellor and psychotherapist. I offer short-term and long-term counselling to adults and young people. After initially working in a local counselling service, I now work in private practice and as a School Counsellor with primary and  secondary aged students.

I aim to provide a safe and confidential environment where feelings can be explored, and the patterns of thinking and behaviour that contribute to one’s difficulties can begin to reveal themselves. This growing awareness gradually opens the possibility for change, leading to increased satisfaction and a greater sense of authority in one's life.

I have experience of working with a wide range of issues, including:

  • Depression

  • Anxiety, Panic and Phobias

  • Stress

  • Eating Disorders

  • Obesity

  • Bereavement

  • Low self-esteem

  • Relationship Difficulties

  • Abuse

  • Self-harm

  • Lack of life direction

  • Health Crisis

  • Sexuality

I work within the Ethical Framework set out by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy of which I am a member (see www.bacp.co.uk).
